Elly - Guest Services Technician

Elly was born in Winston-Salem , NC and grew up in Statesville , NC .  She graduated from North Iredell High School where she concentrated on Art.  Elly attended Penn Foster College where she earned her Veterinary Assisting diploma and Teacher Aide diploma.  Elly lives with her Jack Russell, “Sam” and has a heard of beef cattle.  She’s hand-raising a baby calf named “Slayer”.  Elly said she wanted to work at the Animal Hospital every since she started bringing her dogs here as a child.  She worked and studied in Tacoma , WA for a while but is really happy to be back home in Statesville and with the Animal Hospital .

Holly - Guest Services Technician

Holly was born in Laeger, WV, but was raised in Statesville, NC. She graduated from North Iredell High School and attended Catawba Valley Community College. She plans to continue at CVCC in the near future, to earn her Associate’s degree in Web Technologies. Holly has 3 cats named Andy, Souffle and Sox, a Boxer named Jake, and a Border Collie mix named Rudy. In her spare time, Holly enjoys working with computers, photography and playing with her pets. Holly started with the Animal Hospital of Statesville in 2009. A friend recommended her for the job, knowing that she had been wanting to work with animals. She says she enjoys working at AHS because she loves being around people and taking care of animals.

Kristen - Guest Service Technician

Kristen was born in Statesville, NC. She grew up here and in North Wilkesboro. She graduated from South Iredell High School and later attended Mitchell Community College. She has her CNA license and is CPR certified. Presently, she is engaged to be married to James. She has furry children – four of them – all Miniature Schnauzers! Her hobbies include playing with her pets, drawing, painting, scrapbooking and making clay figures. She also loves to be outside, plays golf and enjoys shopping and sleeping. She says she loves animals with all her heart and feels they are the “closest reflection that Jesus wants us to portray”. She was persistent in applying for a position here at the Animal Hospital of Statesville, and is happy to be working in Pet Quarters. She’s fun loving, outgoing and “extremely hilarious”! 

Kim - Guest Service Technician

Kim was born in Statesville , but grew up mostly in Costa Rica and in Florida .  She attended North Iredell High School .  Kim has one dog, a rescue, named Roxxie.  When not working at the Animal Hospital , Kim enjoys reading, horseback riding, and hanging out with friends.  Kim enjoys being a kennel technician because she loves animals and enjoys playing with all the dogs!

Michelle - Guest service Technician

Michelle was born in Wantage , New Jersey where she lived until 2007, when she moved to Statesville .  She graduated from North Iredell High School in June of 2010 and is attending North Carolina State University majoring in zoology.  She plans on applying to their veterinary program after she receives her bachelors.  Michelle lives with her parents and three younger siblings along with her Labrador Retriever, Brittany, a cat named Felicity, and two steer, Buck and Knee-High.  Michelle started at The Animal Hospital in July 2009 in the position of Kennel Assistant.  She loves animals of all kinds and helps her family out with their deer/fawn rehabilitation.  When she is not working, Michelle loves to play soccer, be outside, and spend time with family and friends.
